Think of flying cars, automobile invisibility, or cars with retractable wheels. These are among the concepts injected by car designers from Maybach, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, and Mercedes-Benz. The carmakers came up with their best ideas of what might be the best cars we will see on the big screen which is actually the theme of the Desighn Challenge for the L.A. Auto show. Here are their concept vehicles:

Silver Arrow by Mercedes-Benz

This F1 inspired ride has pretty much a conventional design revolving around the racing heritage of Mercedes. The Silver Arrow has a roller track whih will be used for Omni Directional maneuvering. It takes cues from famous racing cars of Mercedes-Benz like the W125 series and the Uhlenhaut SLR which cam from the 1930s and 1950s, respectively.

Subaru Horizon

Subaru tests the boundaries of imagination with this four seater car revolves around the idea of a ride than can withstand a very bleak future where fuel might ran out or the world stops turning. The Horizon might be the ride of our heroes ready to save the world.

Maybach Berline

This remote controlled Maybach concept car stems from reinterpreting the Berline Carriage and taking inspiration from the fairy tale Cinderella. This concept taking the platform of the GL class will make use of fuel cell or electric engine and can be controlled by a virtual chauffeur via satellite. It will have a Royal Lounge where passengers can sit face to face. Sustainable materials will be used for both the exterior and interior. It will also have gull wing doors and retractable stairs.

341 Parkour by Smart

The 341 Parkour by Smart cars can fly and negotiate the walls of skycrapers without any trouble. The cabin provides a 360 degree view and the wheels are retractable so the vacuum cups and impulse pads can be activated. You can set the car to drive, fly, or even climb walls.

Honda IH

IH really stands for Intelligent Horse. This concept car by Honda is perfect for the cowboy of the 25th century. It combines the latest innovations in technology, safety, and structure and blends it with the simplest characteristics of a horse.

Stratus Sprinter by Hyundai

This MPV Stratus Sprinter can roll on any road without any hassle because it is way off the ground. It also has combat capabilities and be invisible even during day time. The MPV is usually used in tandem with the DB Atlant Airship.
